This two-day accelerated course covers both multimode and singlemode fiber networks and is intended for installation contractors and end users involved in building and maintaining local area networks (LANs), municipal networks, and private networks. |

Fiber to the Premises
|
The new FTTx/PON for Installers course specifically
addresses the needs of installers and technicians working on
FTTx and Passive Optical Network installations using the ITU-T
G.983 standard. The course consists of both classroom and hands-on
practices focusing on the knowledge and skills required for
the proper installation of optical cables; splicing for trunk,
distribution and drop cables; and the unique testing, documentation
and troubleshooting requirements including OTDR, reflection
and optical loss testing. |
