DWDM

Dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) has revolutionized fiber optic communications. By sending multiple wavelengths of light simultaneously, the carrying capacity of a single fiber can be increased almost without limit. Constant familiarity wavelength routing, switching, add/drop multiplexing, and management are key to today's systems. This course will provide a solid understanding of how DWDM technology works, with special emphasis on the principal components that have helped it to flourish.
