Certified Fiber to the Home Professional (CFHP)

The Certified Fiber to the Home Professional (CFHP) certification program is sponsored and operated by the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council. Certification at the CFHP level indicates a professional level of technical competence in FTTH and Fiber-to-the-Building (FTTB) related technologies and applications. Certification consists of demonstrating knowledge and familiarity with FTTH architecture, network design, deployment technology and operational skills. Certification is not directed at specific vendor’s equipment, rather to certify professional competence on a broad base of FTTH topics.

The goal of the CFHP program’s is to address job training skills for those who are interested in making the jump from legacy technologies to the FTTH technologies of today and the future. For those new to FTTH, this two-day course will provide a solid foundation on which to build towards FTTH network design, planning and management responsibilities. For experienced FTTH professionals, the CFHP course will ensure your familiarity with the most current information and expand your scope beyond your areas of specialization today.

Following the course, an on-line exam for certification will be conducted on the FTTH Council’s website. Those who successfully demonstrate knowledge with a passing percentage of 80% or greater and will achieve the CFHP designation and receive a certification diploma valid for three years. The certification will be entered into the CFHP database, maintained by the FTTH Council, for confirmation for prospective employers and others. The certification fee is $150 for the three-year period.
