The IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries® recently recognized Larry Johnson, Director and Founder of Light Brigade, Inc. with a Distinguished Committee Service Award for his contributions to the development of the standard  IPC-D-640, Design and Critical Process Requirements for Optical Fiber, Optical Cable and Hybrid Wiring Harness Assemblies.

The new standard addresses fiber optic components along with installation, testing and inspection disciplines required for the design and acceptance requirements for fiber optic and hybrid optical/copper cable harnesses for aerospace applications.

“Larry has been an integral part of so many industry committees and conferences over the years, as well as the key content development and ‘resident expert’ here at Light Brigade. This award is another well-deserved recognition of his many contributions to the fiber optics industry,” said Lee Kellett, General Manager of Light Brigade.

The award was presented at the IPC committee awards luncheon on September 26 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
