Certifications
Our courses offer independent fiber optic certifications and BICSI Continuing Education Credits (CECs), demonstrating progressive competency in technical skills. Professional certifications confirm your organization's commitment to industry standards, enhance credibility, reduce turnover, and improve project efficiency and customer satisfaction, setting your workforce apart in the competitive market.
Many of our classes are eligible for independent fiber optic certifications through third-party industry organizations, groups, and many of our courses are eligible for BICSI Continuing Education Credits (CECs). These certifications are typically progressive levels and show competency in hands-on skills and technical knowledge.
Fiber Broadband Certification
The Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) certification indicates a professional level of technical competence in fiber to the home technologies. It consists of demonstrating knowledge and familiarity with FTTH architecture, network design, deployment technology, and operational skills. These certifications are not directed at specific vendors’ equipment; rather it demonstrates professional competence on a broad base of FTTH topics.
OTT Certification
In partnership with Fiber Insight, Light Brigade offers independent certification through Optical Technology Training (OTT). OTT certification is designed to help you to put fiber optics and optical networking systems into current and foreseeable best practices, in accordance with relevant standards. OTT certification is included in the course fee and achieved through the successful completion of coursework and exam.
NCTI Certification
NCTI provides workforce performance products, consulting services, and education for broadband professionals. You can earn credits towards the NCTI Master Technician HFC Networks (MTH) Certification by attending Fiber Optics 1-2-3.
Graduates of NCTI's Fiber Installation and Activation and Fiber Testing and Maintenance courses are also eligible to attend the Fiber Optics 1-2-3 two-day hands-on labs, which provide the skills required to properly design, install, and maintain fiber optic networks.
