Since 1987, Light Brigade is known as the "Leader in Fiber Optic Skills Training." 
Light Brigade was founded by Larry Johnson, who started the crusade to broaden
the industry's fiber optic skills training and knowledge.


In August 2020, Light Brigade was acquired by Hexatronic Group AB, a Swedish-based public technology company that specializes in fiber optic products and training services.

For over 35 years Light Brigade has offered worldwide, state-of-the-art, instructor-led, certified fiber optic training courses and hands-on skills training for industry professionals.  Light Brigade has trained over 80,000 technicians, installers, engineers, designers, and other support staff from a variety of industries worldwide, equipping them with the skills required to move forward in their careers.

Light Brigade instructors are the best in the industry, with extensive theoretical and practical experience in the field.  Light Brigade’s training courses focus on fiber optic installation, testing, troubleshooting, as well as, engineering, and design.  Fiber optic training courses provided by Light Brigade range from basic fiber optics introduction to small enterprise networks to large FTTH deployments and harsh industrial environments.

Light Brigade has partnered with leading industry bodies to provide certification for training courses, including Fiber Broadband Association, ETA International, Utilities Technology Council, and continuing education credits through BICSI. 

In addition, Light Brigade has partnered with industry-leading product vendors and suppliers worldwide to provide the best training equipment for their students and training courses.
