Empowering Your Workforce with the Right Tools

TK-CP-1 Cable Prep Classic Kit
TK-CP-1 Cable Prep Classic Kit

Equipping technicians with the right tools for their job goes hand-in-hand with providing them with the training they need to be successful. As a leader in the fiber optic industry, Light Brigade is proud to work with top-tier manufacturers of test equipment, fusion splicers, and tooling to deliver the best instruments and implements for field work.

Our TK-CP-1 Cable Prep Classic Kit is one of our most popular packages. This kit includes all the tools technicians need for mid-span entries, accessing and stripping trunk and distribution cables, and preparing fiber for installation. Our kit also includes cleaning media, such as non-woven wipes, cleaning fluid, and a cassette cleaner, to assist with ensuring fiber end faces are properly cleaned before installation.

The tools in this kit are identical to the ones used in our Fiber Optics 1-2-3 and Broadband Fiber Optic Technician courses, so they will feel familiar to anyone who has taken either of those classes. Most of these tools come with a lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer, so they will last the technician’s entire career.

Equipping your team with the right tools and training is a smart investment that pays off for both the employer and the employee. We're proud to offer industry-leading training and equipment that work together for professional success.

If you are interested in more information about the TK-CP-1  Cable Prep Classic Kit or any of our other tool kits, please get in touch with us at sales@lightbrigade.com or by calling: (800) 451-7128. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your needs and fiber installation and maintenance applications.

I really like how this kit includes not just the prep and stripping tools, but also the cleaning media. Too often, the cleaning side gets overlooked even though it’s critical for maintaining signal quality. Offering training and pairing it with the exact tools used in the field seems like the best way to set technicians up for success.

Kind of like in Escape Road, where having the right moves at the right time determines whether you make it through the obstacles smoothly—good tools and preparation can make all the difference!
